FALL HAS STARTED AT RESURRECTION LUTHERAN!  We welcome all who worship with us.  Sunday school starts the morning at 9:00am with worship at 10:00 AM.  Coffee fellowship follows the service so please come and join us.

PHOTO DIRECTORY – TODAY – SUNDAY NOV 5th IS GROUP PHOTO DAY!  Following worship bring your smiles to Fellowship Hall for the directory photo of your group.  Groups will be photographed in the following order:  Choir, YMT, Prayer & Care, Altar Guild, WELCA, Property, Welcome, Imaging, Office Support, Staff Support.

THANK YOU FOR HALLOWEEN CANDY – Thank you to all who donated candy.  It was a fantastic event and about 1,100 pieces of candy were given out at Haysville Safe Trick or Treat event.  Thank you to Clark & Noreen Sholts for handing candy out on such a chilly Halloween night!

WORLD HUNGER AWARENESS MONTH – In November, we will focus on world hunger.  See insert “Harvesting Hope.”

DILLONS PLUS CARD- Households who shop at Dillons can support RLC just by going to www.dillons.com/communityrewards and registering their plus card in community rewards.  Just choose Resurrection Lutheran Church.

SERVER LIST SIGN UP SHEET- Check your calendars to help serve at church…January through June 2018.  Sign up before Nov. 26.

FALL BAZAAR- Nov 10-11th. 9am-4pm.  WELCA’s annual fundraiser.  Workers are needed Friday & Sat afternoon.  We are seeking baked items & crafts to sell.  During the bazaar, we will serve soup & sloppy joes, cinnamon rolls & great pies.  Sign up sheet to help are in the narthex hallway.

VETERANS RECOGNITION – NOV. 12TH

WELCOME TO THE TABLE –Give Back Night- AT “ON THE BORDER” Enjoy food, fun, and friends and benefit The “Welcome to the Table” project to renovate the Community Breakfast kitchen at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.  On the Border Mexican Grill on the west side (2347 Maize Rd, New Market Square) is dedicating the day of Wed, Nov. 15, to benefit this project. 20% of your ticket at lunch, dinner, and drinks will be donated to “Welcome to the Table.”  Just tell your wait staff that you are there for this benefit.  Friends and families are welcome – the more the merrier.

ANNUAL MEETING- NOV. 19th The purpose of the meeting is to approve the 2018 budget and elect council members.  We are still in need of new members for council.

ST. PAUL’S BREAKFAST NOV. 26TH. Time to start thinking about serving at the annual breakfast Saturday after thanksgiving.  Sign up sheet in the Narthex.

CELEBRATING 500th REFORMATION – LISTENING FOR PEACE PRAYER SERVICE NOV 21, 7:00pm – Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 307 E Central Ave, Wichita, KS.  Pastor Elizabeth will be participating in the service.

POINSETTIA SIGN UP- We receive lovely poinsettias from Dutch’s Greenhouse for the Christmas season.  If you would like to donate for the cost in memory of a loved one, an order form is in the Narthex.  Price is up just a bit $13.00 for a 5” plant.  Deadline for orders is Sunday, Dec. 3rd.

MEMBERSHIP AT RESURRECTION LUTHERAN CHURCH If you have been visiting and worshipping with us here at Resurrection and are interested in becoming a part of our faith community, please speak with the pastor.  We welcome and encourage everyone to fully participate in all aspects in the life of our congregation as you feel called.  We will recognize new members during the service in the spring and fall.
