WELCOME TO RESURRECTION LUTHERAN CHURCH! Sunday school starts the morning at 9:00am with worship at 10:00 AM. If you have been visiting and worshipping with us here at Resurrection and are interested in becoming a part of our faith community, please speak with the pastor. Coffee fellowship follows the service so please come and join us.
YMT inviting anyone who would like to go to see the movie “STAR” at Derby Plaza TODAY. Starts at 1:55pm. Talk to Loretta.
ANNUAL MEETING- NOV. 19th The purpose of the meeting is to approve the 2018 budget and elect council members.
TODAY! COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING SERVICE – Our choir will be singing tonight at River of Life Church, Haysville, KS. Come support at 6pm.
NOV 19 ALTAR GUILD SELLING HIGH QUALITY KNIVES for a fundraiser. Orders due by Dec. 10th and checks made out to RLC with memo line “Altar Guild Knives.”

CHURCH HOURS NOTICE- Wed Nov 22 Vicky won’t be in the office during the morning but she will be in during the afternoon to finish bulletins. Office closed Thanksgiving day Nov 23rd and 24th.
WORLD HUNGER AWARENESS MONTH – In November, we will focus on world hunger. See insert “Harvesting Hope.”

WELCA FALL BAZAAR- Thank you to all who helped! So much work goes into it and everyone’s help and support is appreciated. There are a few nice assortments of items left if you are interested in unique Christmas gifts at great prices.
ST. PAUL’S BREAKFAST NOV. 25TH. RLC is responsible for serving the annual breakfast Saturday after thanksgiving. Sign up sheet in the Narthex. Please consider helping out!
CELEBRATING 500th REFORMATION – LISTENING FOR PEACE PRAYER SERVICE NOV 21, 7:00pm – Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 307 E Central Ave, Wichita, KS. Pastor Elizabeth will be participating in the service.
YMT BIRTHDAY BINGO DEC. 2nd from 2-5pm. - Come join us for an afternoon of fun – Celebrating your Birthday (with cake, of course) and playing BINGO - Invite your friends and neighbors to this FUN event!! There will be 10 bingo games with no less than 5 winners per game – which means over 50 prizes for you to win! All this fun for only $5 per pack of cards. We will also have Popcorn, Nachos and Sodas for sale, to help keep your strength up!! Mark your calendars for this fun afternoon!! See Pam for more information.
POINSETTIA SIGN UP- We receive lovely poinsettias from Dutch’s Greenhouse for the Christmas season. If you would like to donate for the cost in memory of a loved one, an order form is in the Narthex. Price is up just a bit $13.00 for a 5” plant. Deadline for orders is Sunday, Dec. 3rd.
DEC 3rd NATIVITY DISPLAY -Everyone is invited to bring & set up a nativity set for display in the narthex. Please stay & decorate trees & church after service. “Hanging of the Greens”

SUNDAY SCHOOL CHRISTMAS PROGRAM – Dec. 10th at 6pm “Just a Little Christmas.” Everyone who wishes to be in the program must be attending Sunday School. Practice has started.
CHRISTMAS GIVING TREE- Haysville Community Outreach. In the Narthex, take a tag to give a gift. Your generosity will provide a happy Christmas for a needy child. Attach tag to unwrapped gift. Due by Dec. 10th.
DEC 10th Altar Guild Bake Sale.
COOKIE EXCHANGE- DEC 16th at 11am…Do you have a favorite Christmas cookie and end up with too many for Christmas? Bring a dozen or two cookies to exchange for a variety to take home.
BLUE CHRISTMAS - Christmas time isn’t always a joyous time for those who are grieving or who have lost a loved one. We invite you to a blue Christmas service on Dec. 14 at 11am. Sign up in the narthex to bring a item for lunch.
WE CARE ABOUT YOU AND YOUR FAMILY! What’s important to you is important to us. Requests are handled with the utmost sincerity and respect. A Sunday morning prayer sheet is on the sign up counter or email the team at prayerandcare@rxluth.com. The Prayer and care committee meets each Wednesday morning for prayer at 9:00 AM. We welcome and encourage everyone to fully participate in all aspects in the life of our congregation as you feel called. We will recognize new members during the service in the spring and fall.
