WELCOME TO RESURRECTION LUTHERAN CHURCH!  Sunday school starts the morning at 9:00am with worship at 10:00 AM.  If you have been visiting and worshipping with us here at Resurrection and are interested in becoming a part of our faith community, please speak with the pastor. Coffee fellowship follows the service.

WE CARE ABOUT YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!  What’s important to you is important to us.  Requests are handled with the utmost sincerity and respect.   A Sunday morning prayer sheet is on the sign up counter. The Prayer and care committee meets each Wednesday morning for prayer at 9:00 AM.  Bert can be reached at 522-6767 or at bert.kirkpatrick2013@gmail.com. Or call the church office at 522-1091.

NO CONFIRMATION TONIGHT – Attending chime dedication at Gloria Dei with sung evening prayer at 5:30 pm and a potluck meal at 6:15pm.

ALTAR GUILD –Consider joining the RLC Altar Guild!  Pamphlets in narthex contain more details about various duties.

WEDNESDAY LENT SOUP SUPPERS. Soup Suppers will begin at 6pm with Holden Evening Prayer services following at 7pm.  Sign up in the narthex bulletin area to bring a soup, bread or dessert.

EASTER VIGIL & HOLY WEEK - Sign up sheets are in the narthex bulletin area.  We will need readers for Easter Vigil readings and a copy to practice is in the folder at sign up table.

LENT GOOD GIFTS TREE- Select an ornament.  Write your name on the back and return the ornament to the basket under the green wire tree displayed in the narthex.  Pay for your ornament with a check to RLC with “good gifts” on the memo line or use a pew envelop.  After Easter, your gifts will be sent to ELCA Good Gifts to support work in 83 countries.  Your gift will be entered as a record of giving at RLC.

ALTAR GUILD SELLING KNIVES – An order form and catalog are available in the narthex communication shelf.  See a member if you have any additional questions.

DEDICATION OF CHIMES – Today! Mar 4th Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 1101 N. River Blvd, Wichita, KS.  Will be having a sung evening prayer at 5:30pm with a potluck meal at 6:15pm.  They purchased the chimes from RLC this summer and are using them at their church now.

DAYLIGHT SAVINGS REMINDER Don’t forget to set your clocks on Saturday Night March 10th so you are on time Sunday morning on March 11th.

Filling the Gap Lunches for Kids during spring break, March 19-23.  We are collecting healthy, individually packaged snacks to supplement meals for about 800 kids each day during spring break.  Our donations will be taken to the drop off location on March 9th -11am-1pm at the Kansas Food Bank, 1919 E. Douglas, Wichita, KS.

MARCH MADNESS NATIONAL YOUTH GATHERING FUNDRAISER Selection Sunday is March 11th! Help support our youth who will be traveling to Houston Summer 2018.  If you choose to sign up online contact Pastor Elizabeth so she can send you the link or you can fill out a paper bracket it needs to be turned in by Wednesday, March 14th.  Please place your $10.00 in the envelope provided and Good Luck!

NATIONAL INTELLECTUAL & DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITY AWARENESS MONTH - Think about the people in your life whom you see on a regular basis.  If you took away the people who are paid to be there (health care professionals, workers, etc.), who would be left?  For many people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, there’s no one left.  They’re often isolated from others, not by physical space, but by society’s attitudes toward disability.  You can help change that. March is National Intellectual and Development Disabilities Awareness Month.  If you know someone with a disability, take the time to become a friend.  You both will benefit! YEAR END REPORTS – Teams and committees please turn in your 2017 end of year reports to the church office by Mar 11.

HOLY COMMUNION INSTRUCTION CLASS starts March 24th  from 10 am-Noon.  Please sign up in the narthex communication area so we can order the right amount of materials needed.  Please note an adult needs to be present with the child.

EASTER FLOWER ORDERS- Altar Guild will be taking orders for two different flowering plants (Azaleas and Hydrangeas) to adorn the sanctuary for Easter.  Cost is $12.50 each.  After Easter celebration service, you can take home and plant in your yard.  Make checks out to RLC, memo line Easter Plant.

SUMMER CAMP- SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE – CHEAPER IF YOU REGISTER BEFORE APRIL 1st. If you plan to send your child/children, please, check the schedule and pre-enroll.  An early bird deduction of $50 per child for enrollments before April 1st and $20 per child, if there is more than one child from a family.  Fees for 2018 are $355 for the full 5-day sessions and $200 for the 3-day.  WELCA will again offer scholarships of $200 toward the $355 and $100 toward the $200 fees.  If you have questions, please, see Evelyn Clark.  Remember, enrolling before April 1st will save you $50 per child.  To register go to www.tomahshinga.com/summercamp . MYSTERY DINNER THEATER- APR 14th 6pm.  National Youth Gathering Fundraiser.  Mark your calendar.

ST. PAULS KITCHEN RENOVATION DINNER FUNDRAISER - April 19th All are invited to the “Welcome to the Table Fundraiser dinner” on Thurs, April 19th from 5-7:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.  The event will also include a silent auction.  Tickets will be $20 each.  Outback Steakhouse will be preparing the grilled chicken and steak meal and there will be salad and vegetables and dessert.
