WELCOME TO RESURRECTION LUTHERAN! We welcome all who worship with us! Service is held on Sunday morning at 9:00am during the summer. Coffee fellowship follows the service so please come and join us. Watch the bulletin and narthex communications board for information, meetings and events.
PASTOR will be on vacation Aug 6-13th Pr. Dave Fulton on call for emergencies.
ROAD WILL BE CLOSED –GRAND AVE WEST OF MERIDIAN AUG 6th-8th The City is scheduled to apply a slurry seal application to Grand Ave., west of Meridian, beginning Monday, Aug 6th. During this time, West Grand Ave.,west of Meridian, will be entirely closed. This portion of the project is expected to take two days. Upon completion, the striping contractor is scheduled to stripe the pavement on Aug 8th. If all goes as planned, West Grand Ave. will be opened back up in the afternoon on Aug 8th.
HOT DOG FUNDRAISER – Sat. Aug 11th during the Haysville Citywide Garage Sale. We are starting to raise funds early for youth and sponsors going to the next ELCA Youth Gathering. Located on the corner of Grand Ave (71st) and Jane from 10 am until 2 pm. We will need volunteers! Contact Ryan Marshall for more info. Feel free to stop by and support our youth!
BACKPACK BLESSING Aug. 19th We are blessing backpacks, lunch bags or workbags to start off the school year. Please bring your backpacks and adults can bring their workbags too.
HAT DAY – AUG 19th Wear a funny or beautiful hat to church! If you have an extra hat to share, please bring it too.
SUMMER PICK UP CHOIR- Aug. 19th. Please arrive by 8:30am to practice the song for worship. Wear your hat for hat day!
FAMILY PROMISE VOLUNTEER UPDATE! - There are two Volunteer Training sessions available - Sat, Aug. 18th, at 1:30pm at Crosswinds Community Church, 208 N Georgie Ave, Derby, KS 67037 or Sun, Aug. 19th at Haysville Christian Church, 1306 W Grand Haysville KS. If you are interested, note date next to your name on sign-up sheet so we can let them know.
SUMMER LUNCH WITH THE PASTOR – Every 4th Wednesday during the summer months May-Aug. Sign up in the Narthex Hall to go have lunch with the pastor. Aug 22nd lunch will be at The Village Inn on South Meridian at noon. “Free Pie Day!”
SANDWICH SATURDAY- On Saturday Aug. 25th we will gather at the church at 9:30am to assemble 200 PB&J sack lunches for distribution downtown that afternoon. Please come and help make sandwiches in the morning and help with this important ministry.
BAGS OF BLESSINGS We are collecting travel size care items such as: soap, shampoo, chapstick, emery boards, shaving cream, lotion, deodorant, washcloth, toothpaste, razors, comb, Kleenex, toothbrushes & gallon size Ziploc bags which we will put into kits for God’s Work, Our Hands Sunday which takes place Sept. 9th.
FIRST BIBLE CLASS - SIGN UP TIME We need to know if your child plans to receive their first Bible. Classes will be on Tuesdays of September with Bible presentation on Sept. 30th. Sign up sheet is in the narthex hallway.
COTTAGE MEETING RESULTS The latest results have been added today! They have been in the bulletins and are posted on narthex bulletin board.
ALTAR GUILD FUNDRAISERS Order forms and catalog are available to order quality knives. See a member if you have any questions.
