FALL HAS STARTED AT RESURRECTION LUTHERAN! We welcome all who worship with us. Sunday school starts the morning at 9:00am with worship at 10:00 AM. Coffee fellowship follows the service so please come and join us. Watch the bulletin and narthex communications board for information, meetings and events.
CHOIR PRACTICE – Come and join the choir! Every Thursday night, we have choir practice at 6:30pm in the sanctuary.
SUNDAY SCHOOL HAS STARTED BUT NEVER TOO LATE TO JOIN US! Sunday School is at 9am. High Schoolers meet at the back of fellowship hall behind the dividers. Coffee & Conversation for Adults meets in the Fellowship Hall and the younger groups- Preschoolers thru 8th grade meet in the classrooms.
TIME & TALENT SURVEY FORM – Please look at the form and let us know your talents. We are still collecting them. Stewardship at our church is vital for our spiritual growth and helping where you can as an individual or family is important.
FIRST BIBLE CLASS - Classes are Sept 4th, 11th, 18th , and 25th at 6:00pm for child and adult. Bible presentation will be on Sept. 30th.
SEPT 19th FAITH NIGHT starts at 5:45-8:00pm for 3rd-12th graders. Adults are invited to join for the evening. This year we will begin The Story Curriculum by Randy Frazee. Postcards with the meeting dates are in the narthex.
SEPT 22nd - 2018 CAMP TOMAH SHINGA QUILT AUCTION Quilts will be auctioned from 10am-2pm with a provided lunch break in the middle. Games for the littles! Proceeds will go toward camp scholarships.
CLEARWATER FESTIVAL RLC BOOTH – Our church will have a booth on Sat Sept 29th. We need some volunteers to hand out pamphlets and represent our congregation. Sign Up Sheet is on the narthex shelf.
PEANUT BUTTER DRIVE FOR CROPWALK ALL SEPTEMBER During the month of Sept, we will be collecting peanut butter donations to help with “Ending Hunger-One Step at a Time Crop Hunger Walk.”
The 2017 Wichita Crop Walk will be on OCT 7, starting at 2pm at Sedgwick County Park, check-in is at 1pm. You can choose to walk 3.46 miles or 1.86 mile distance. https://www.crophungerwalk.org/wichitaks. Let’s stop hunger and support our local community too.
CONFIRMATION DINNER SIGN UP - This year confirmation classes will be from 5:30pm-7:30pm beginning on October 14th for 6th-8th graders. As a way for the congregation to Live the Faith and support the class and the baptismal promises that were made, we are asking for you to sign-up and provide a meal for them on Sunday evenings (12-15 people). A sign-up sheet is in the fellowship hall.
CARD SHOWER FOR BUD BRYANT – Bud & Mary Bryant are currently living in Texas. Recently Bud had a stroke and if you would like to send a card, their address is posted on the communications board.
ALTAR GUILD FUNDRAISERS Order forms and catalog are available.
Purchase a $30 Tillies monthly flower card and you can pick up fresh flowers at no cost every month for a year. See Karen Vogt or Lydia Evans.
BRICK MEMORIAL ORDERS- Forms are on the narthex hallway shelf. $30 due by Sept. 30th.
OKTOBERFEST FUNDRAISER – Mark your calendars for Oct. 14th. Hosted by Property Committee for storage shed.
WE CARE ABOUT YOU AND YOUR FAMILY! What’s important to you is important to us. Requests are handled with the utmost sincerity and respect. A Sunday morning prayer sheet is on the sign up counter.
