WELCOME TO RESURRECTION LUTHERAN CHURCH! Sunday school starts the morning at 9:00 AM with worship at 10:00 AM. If you have been visiting and worshipping with us here at Resurrection and are interested in becoming a part of our faith community, please speak with the pastor. Coffee fellowship follows the service so please come and join us.
SENIOR CENTER NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT- Their 1st Chili Cook Off fundraiser is this Sat. Feb 9th 11 AM – 2 PM. Only $5 for a chili tasting kit. Desserts, raffle & door prizes! This fundraiser is important. It supports many community services they provide. Food served for 100 people daily. A Thanksgiving & Christmas box is provided each year. It helps with the extras for senior citizens; games, cards and ice cream socials, including paying for bus drivers on field trips. Come enjoy some chili and support our Haysville Senior Center. The cost is $5 per person or $20 per family. There will be cinnamon rolls,
fruits, casseroles, and muffins. Hope to see you there! Help support – money
raised goes toward our new shed!
ANNUAL REPORTS DUE NOW – Please hand in your annual organization reports for the congregational meeting.
HAYSVILLE TRANSPORTATION SURVEY - The City of Haysville wants to know if you support a low cost local transportation system. A survey is on the narthex shelf for 1 more week. Please fill it out for feedback.
HOCKEY NIGHT FEB 16th - Firemen vs Police at 5 PM followed by a Thunder Game. Intrust Bank Arena. See Loretta to order your tickets by Feb 10th. $9.00 each. A Council Community Outing and half of the proceeds will go to Children’s Home.

DODGEBALL ANYONE? – Feb 23rd Dodgeball Tournament at the HAC and Pastor would love to get an RLC team together. Minimum age is 12.

FAMILY PROMISE - Due to a surprisingly low number of entries, deadline is extended entry in the Chili Cookoff until this Sunday, February 10th. Just send a quick email to lisa.leslie@live.com to let her know your plans to participate. Chili Cookoff Feb 23rd at St. Mary Orthodox Church, 344 S. Martinson St, Wichita, KS. The event is February 23rd from 4 – 6 PM. Cost is $10 for adults & $5 for kids. RLC will be supporting Haysville Christian Church the week of Feb 24th. LENT BEGINS MAR 6th - Soup Suppers will be at 6 PM with Lent services following at 7 PM. Sign up on the narthex bulletin board to bring a soup & sides starting March 13th since soups on Ash Wednesday are provided as a fundraiser by the youth attending the National Youth Gathering. Free Will Donation. Also, if you are interested in leading Holden Evening Prayer Service, please see Pr. Elizabeth.

TOMAH SHINGA REGISTRATION OPEN! Camp Tomah Shinga is excited to see returning campers and welcomes new campers at each session. Programs are for youth of all ages. Register before April 1st, to receive $50 off the registration fee. Register at http://tomahshinga.com/summercamp . This year there is a new option – a service camp, stay at Hollis Renewal Center and do service projects in Kansas City each day. Other special camps include Confirmation Camp and Family Camp.

the date: August 16-18, 2019 for the 32nd Annual Synodical Convention of the
Central States Synod Women of the ELCA. This year Ark River Valley Cluster will
host the convention here in Wichita, it will be at the Holiday Inn at Kellogg
and Rock Rd. Our area is responsible for the local events, worship and music,
in-kind-gifts and programming. The initial planning has begun. Women in this
cluster are encouraged and welcome to assist in making this a memorable event.
