FALL IS HERE AT RESURRECTION LUTHERAN! Sunday school starts the morning at 9:00am with worship at 10:00am. Coffee fellowship follows the service so please come and join us. Watch the bulletin and narthex communications board for information, meetings and events.
WE WELCOME REV. DONA L. CUMMINGS WHO WILL BE PREACHING THIS MORNING.
OKTOBERFEST FUNDRAISER IS TODAY – Please join the Property Committee following service this Sunday Oct 13th for an Oktoberfest with funds going towards additional items needed for our new storage shed. Hot dogs, brats, sauerkraut, potato salad, and desserts. Suggested donation of $5/person, $20/family. There will be a silent auction too! Lots of fun items to win!
NO CONFIRMATION CLASS for the remainder of October. Classes resume Nov 3rd.
OFFICE CLOSED Oct 21-24th Pastor Elizabeth will be attending the Bishop’s Convocation this week then on vacation the week after. Feel free to call her on her cell phone for pastoral emergencies. Vicky will be out of the office Oct 21-24th so if you need something in the bulletin, please get that to her early by Oct 18th.
GREAT TURN OUT FOR THE CROP WALK! Thank you to everyone who came out to walk last Sunday with Pastor and represent our church. We gave an abundance of peanut butter to help end hunger-one step at a time.
TOMAH SHINGA QUARTER CHALLENGE - October is Camp Tomah Shinga Quarter Challenge month. Tomah Shinga is our Central States Synod camp available for congregations year round that offers great summer programming and year-round options. The Quarter Challenge invites us to donate quarters to Tomah Shinga during October and to keep the work of our camp in our minds.
SUMMER 2020 YOUTH MISSION TRIP DEADLINE is Wed. Oct 15th. Must turn in a $50 deposit if you are planning to go.
NEXT FAITH NIGHT is this Wed Oct. 15th from 6pm-8pm for 3rd - 12th graders. We have a sign-up sheet each month for a head count so we can plan and provide dinner. Online or sign-up sheet.
CANDY NEEDED! We need lots of candy for both the parade on Oct 19th and the Safe Trick or Treat Night on Main Street Oct 31st. Look out for sales coming out for lots of candy! If you would like to donate money for candy, we can buy it too.

THE HAYSVILLE FALL FESTIVAL PARADE SAT OCT. 19TH. BE HERE TO DECORATE TRAILER AT 7:30 AM. Barry Schroeder is lending us his trailer. Please sign up if you are planning to be in the parade. We can give you a ride back to the church. It starts at 9am. Line up at 8:30am at Haysville West Middle School walking to Haysville United Methodist. This year’s theme: “Haysville Fest-i-ville” We are collecting candy!
SANDWICH SATURDAY OCT 26th We will gather at the church at 9:30am to assemble 200 PB&J sack lunches for distribution downtown that afternoon. Please come and help make sandwiches in the morning and help with this important ministry.
REFORMATION SUNDAY OCT 27TH – REMEMBER TO WEAR RED!
JOIN COUNCIL WE NEED YOU! We need three individuals to serve on the church council. Consider serving to gain a better understanding of how the church operates. Council meetings are on the 2nd Wednesday of the month and meet at 7pm. Please contact Pastor Elizabeth.
